We collect information you provide directly when you:

• Complete our mold assessment quiz (name, email, phone, ZIP code, problem description)
• Submit a contact form
• Sign up as a contractor on /add-businesses/

We also automatically collect standard server log data (IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited) via Cloudflare's analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

Information submitted through our lead capture quiz is used to:

• Connect you with licensed mold remediation contractors in your geographic area
• Send you a confirmation email with your assessment results
• Enroll you (with consent) in our homeowner email series about mold prevention and remediation

We do not sell your personal information to data brokers or advertising networks. Lead data is shared only with the specific contractor(s) matched to your inquiry.

3. Cookies & Tracking

MoldGuide uses minimal tracking. We use:

• Cloudflare analytics — privacy-preserving, no personal data stored
• No third-party advertising cookies — we do not run retargeting pixels or Facebook/Google ad tracking on this site

4. Email Communications

If you submit a lead inquiry, you will receive a transactional confirmation email. If you opt in, you may receive our homeowner education series. You can unsubscribe from any marketing email at any time via the unsubscribe link in the footer of each message.

5. Data Retention

Lead data is retained for 24 months or until you request deletion. Contact form submissions are retained for 12 months. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@moldguide.com.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate this site:

• Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and Workers (serverless functions)
• Mailgun — transactional email delivery
• Stripe — contractor billing (contractor-facing only; homeowner payment data is never collected)

Each service operates under its own privacy policy and data processing agreements.

7. Children's Privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@moldguide.com.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
